Month 2: ULL4 (3.2 - 3.26)
The second band, ULL4, debuted on February 3rd at the Experimental Sound Studio's Audible Gallery. Their EP is entitled "AIR/BORN". ULL4 is a solo artist who performs tracks inspired by space exploration. The artist has 3 artificial vocal cords attached to her body, each of which represents a way through which a change in the track can occur. ULL4 was interviewed by Lori Felker from a remote location at the edge of space near the end of her ESS residency. The interview can be found at this link. Though performative, it is a very real and unscripted interview, answered sincerely by a virtual artist.
