5t4t35 of 4lt (States of Alt) was commissioned for the Conversations at the Edge
spring 2025 season for the program The Radical Art of the Sandin Image Processor,
honoring the creative possibilities granted by Dan Sandin's machine.
For 5t4t35 of 4lt, the textures captured on the IP were used as characters in the piece.
The piece debuted at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago in April 2025. This program was co-curated by Gordon Fung and featured historical works from
the Media Burn Archive, and new works and performances by Jon Satrom, Lee Blalock, and James Connolly.
